The AREVA Reactors & Services Business Group:
The Reactors and Services Business Group combines the nuclear reactor design and construction activities and the products and services activities necessary for the maintenance, operation, modernization, and improvement of power plants. It also includes vessel propulsion nuclear reactor and research reactor activities. AREVA is currently constructing four EPR™ reactors, of generation III+.
Job Description:
AREVA is on the lookout for Alliance Site Managers. This position is in the Outage Services group and will be the primary AREVA interface for all work scopes with our Alliance partner/customer including overall Alliance profit and loss, long term planning and performance improvement. Envisions, defines, and executes the strategic plans necessary for improving customer performance in order to meet or exceed specified targets.
Responsibilities and Duties include:
- Managing a Site Alliance Program in order to establish and maintain strong client relationships at the site.
- Ensuring Key Performance Metrics reported monthly, quarterly, and annually to assess site Alliance health.
- Providing meaningful performance related feedback/input to appropriate line management.
- Solving specific customer issues in order to improve site performance and grow the Company's scope of supply.
- Implementing Alliance contract at site.
- Being the Single Point of Contact for contractual issues for site, supports contract and work scope definitions.
- Attends Alliance meetings on-site and reports requests & issues to appropriate product line and Alliance Manager
- Directing the complex outage-related activities associated with and directly applicable to the AREVA product lines performing work.
- Direct planning and scheduling support, coordinate cost estimates and procurement, and design support plans.
- Monitoring progress of pre-outage and outage work, identify problems, revise schedules and budgets, and report status of outage and outage preparations to management.
- Identifying and recommending opportunities for the customer to improve overall outage performance.
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this Alliance Site Manager opportunity.
- BS in either a business, engineering, or technical discipline and 15 years of related work experience OR a high school diploma and 19 years of related work experience. An MBA or other advanced degree/PMP Certification may substitute for 1-2 years of related work experience.
- Must be able to acquire and maintain nuclear power plant access.
- Possesses a complete and up-to-date knowledge of the company's products and services.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a utility environment.
- Willingness to be assigned long term at a customer's facility.
The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.
- Broad based operational and technical knowledge of a nuclear power plant.
- Preferred previous site deployment and outage management experience.
- Knowledge of nuclear industry standards with regards to refueling outage preparation and execution.
- Ability to work across organizational lines, both within AREVA and at the customers facilities.
TRAVEL:
Routine domestic travel 50% of time.
