Position Title: National Account Manager

Position Location: Northern California – Field (Home Based)

 

Position Summary: Plan, develop, communicate, sell, and implement national strategic initiatives and brand priorities in assigned National Accounts in close coordination with divisional sales & marketing teams and wholesaler distributor networks.

 

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

Nature & Scope:

Position typically works with the Divisional Wine Directors, State Managers, Marketing, Distributor National Account teams and Local Account Managers. Contacts also include brokers and PR USA vendor providers. Incumbent plans activities for this position monthly, with individual initiative in daily routine. Decisions have national impact and can significantly affect the performance and profitability of Pernod Ricard USA.

 

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

 

Experience/Background: A minimum of 5-7 plus years of proven success in sales serving a large number of diverse retailers; ideally, experience with direct key account or channel responsibility.

 

Must live in Northern California with close proximity to Safeway corporate office.

 

Working Conditions: Work is performed in a typical field environment, with moderate demands for movement and lifting. Frequent travel to customer sites is required.

 

Travel: Frequent

Estimate: 35% of time
