Manages quality surgical health care services to patients in a cost effective manner. Completes a record of health care services provided by him/her. Conducts pre-operative assessments for patients.. Presents pertinent history and physical findings to the anesthesiologist on every patient and performs anesthetic plan outlined by the anesthesiologist. Fulfill quality managements and functions as assigned through departmental meetings Maintains adequate anesthesia supplies in the clinical areas on a daily basis. Assists in maintenance of a clinic environment conducive to good medical practice. Maintains competence through attendance at appropriate CME meetings. Attend department, facility, and General Staff meetings. Complies with all Federal, State, and SMA/SHS regulations, policies and procedures.
Fast paced surgicenter that is one of the busiest in the country. Involves a lot of walking.Must be competent medical practitioner and professionally respected by peers. Initiative and judgement are involved in making decisions. The individual must have the capacity to relate well with people so as to win confidence and establish rapport. Must have an even temperament and have demonstrated ability to deal with other staff and nursing personnel. Must have the ability to clearly and easily communicate with peers, senior staff and support personnel. Must be able to accept responsibility and delegate it appropriately. - Undergraduate degree in applicable area of expertise or equivalent experience.
Attended approved CRNA program. Licensed to practice by the Nevada State Board of Nursing and Nationally Certified by the AANA. Minimum of 5 years clinical experience as a Nurse Anesthetist in an acute care facility. Prior experience in a multi-specialty group or managed care environment is highly desirable.
