As a Software developer, you have a broad range of skills including, system architecture, Web 2.0 development, and general problem solving skills. You enjoy bringing your technical skills as well as your “soft” skills to bear in cooperating with team members and customers to develop robust solutions to challenging problems.

You will be responsible for developing custom objects, channels, and applications that meet customer requirements, and integrating them into the X2O platform.

Responsibilities

Work with Project Manager to deliver completed projects on time and on schedule
Create HTML5 based smart objects and applications to handle customer requirements
Build and customize X2O channels to meet customer requirements
Build required business logic with custom scripting (in javascript, jquery,…)
Interface with third-party vendors and customers’ technical staff
Create data parsers within the X2O Data Portal to pull client-specific data
Assist as needed, the Technical Support team with post-installation client request.
Provide internal weekly status reports to management and other team members

Qualifications:

• University degree in a technology related discipline or equivalent Technical program.
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working directly with clients and/or end users
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with Web 2.0 development (HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL,…)
• Experience configuring web based client/server installations
• Experience in software development (including C#, ASP.Net) is an asset
• Experience working on site at client facilities

Experience in the following areas would be considered an asset
• Proven problem solving and troubleshooting ability
• Proven ability to find solutions to project roadblocks with minimal supervision
• Familiarity with standard tools such as Photoshop, After Effects, and PowerPoint.
• Understanding of graphics/video production
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
