Barco invites you to join its team as a Product Manager for Interactivity in New York City. You will be part of a rapidly growing, and dynamic team focused on disrupting the movie-going experience through the use of new and innovative technologies and business models. You will get the unique opportunity to be the product manager that helps define the business and technology strategy for a new interactive product that Barco has made a strategic investment in.

 

As a Product Manager for Interactivity, your primary responsibility will be to develop a relationship with Barco’s partner, Audience Entertainment (AE), and work hand-in-hand with them to define, develop and manage product roadmap, and strategy to ensure continuity in product offerings globally. 

 

You will also collaborate on developing and implementing marketing strategies to respond to changing and /or competitive environments which may include product positioning, pricing strategies, and overall product strategy.

 

A strong understanding of the global cinema industry, software development lifecycle (SDLC), product development and relationship management skills are crucial to your success. As a senior professional in the Product Management group and a subject matter expert, you will utilize your strong product marketing background and related experience to positively contribute to the department's goals and vision.

 

Product Management:

1.    Guide product roadmap and strategy in collaboration with Audience Entertainment by understanding customer requirements, product value, competitive landscape and related technology trends

2.    Collaborate with Audience Entertainment to define product specifications, develop marketing programs with AE’s and Barco’s sales teams

3.    Manage the product (software) development life cycle process (PDLC/SDLC). Shall be responsible for leading the development and maintenance of a Windows-based product

4.    Develop business plans, market requirements, product requirements and product positioning in the marketplace including pricing strategies, product specifications, catalogues, sell-sheets, training aids, web presence and promotional events 

5.    Create lead generation programs to support sales growth

6.    Track general business indicators, including market share, and competitor's marketing and sales program activities – report these to Barco’s management

7.    Provide on-going management of the product marketing programs, contracts and agreements

 

Relationship Management

1.    Function as the relationship manager from Barco to Audience Entertainment. Foster growth in relationship, and communicate and set priorities

2.    Be the conduit of information exchange

 

 

Education:

·          Master’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education in fields of engineering, business, marketing, or related field 

·          MBA preferred

 

Experience:

·          5 – 8 years of experience

·          Cinema industry experience preferred

·          In-depth experience in product management or equivalent
