Position Title: Director of Marketing, Venture Portfolio

Position Location: New York, NY

Position Summary:

Leads marketing for Venture unit and serves as thought partner to GM; owns development of Venture's strategic direction to meet CAAP targets through optimal allocation of total resource pool and adherence to brand strategy/standards from Brand Marketing; provides GM updates on program ROIs and market insights

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

Individual

• Implement HQ Brand strategy by defining tools & content required by Venture team and developing division plan based on national brand strategy/standards across entire marketing mix
• Develop & evaluate potential programs and provide feedback to HQ Brand teams
• Allocate Venture AOP and A&P resources across markets, brands, channels, and A&P business levers
• Communicate incubation brand programs to SMs and distributor TD Directors
• Manage holistic Venture A&P and SPD budget
• Act as "Voice of the Market" to Brand to ensure national strategies are shaped by analysis of Nielsen data and local market insights from Locals teams and distributor Trade Development team
• Ensure retail & distributor execution meets brand standards, logo usage guidelines, legal mandatories, and agreed upon program KPIs and objectives
• Train distributor TD Directors/Managers on incubation brand standards

Shared

• Manage division budget, variance analysis, and plan revision recommendations (GM)
• Support SMs in translating incubation brand programming to local markets & channels (SMs)
• Manage promotions via agency partners w/ HQ & Sales Managers (HQ, SMs)
• Support GM and PRUSA Brand Marketing

Key requirements:

Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree, Master's in business or marketing preferred.

Experience/Background: Minimum 10-15 years experience in wines & spirits consumer products marketing with significant exposure to brand building activity. Previous work experience in sales, or working closely with sales teams strongly preferred.

Working Conditions:

Field Environment: Work is performed in a typical field environment with moderate demands for movement and lifting. Normal visual, hearing and language acuity required for correspondence and computer usage. Frequent travel by land and/or air in diverse weather conditions is required.
