PositionTitle: Finance Director – Mumm Napa
Position Location: Rutherford, CA
Position Summary: Position has full responsibility for all accounting, budgeting and analysis for the Mumm Napa Operating Unit which encompasses wine production for Mumm Napa and DTC operations for both Kenwood and Mumm Napa. The function includes prescribing, maintaining, and enhancing accounting principles, practices, procedures and initiatives. Prepare financial reports and provide recommendations and analysis to top management to drive growth, identify financial risks and develop appropriate action plans.
Responsible for adhering to all principles of Mumm Napa’s ISO, QSE Management System.
Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

Ensure that the production facility accounts are maintained in conformance with Company accounting policies and procedures. Establish appropriate safeguards to guarantee corporate assets are protected, and accurately reported upon. Maintain reporting and processing control for all product produced by third parties.

Provide financial insight for all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, and demand planning. Manages and oversees the manufacturing budgeting process and the establishment of costing standards. Generate financial reports to management in a timely and accurate manner as it relates to all budgeting, LE, R&O and monthly reporting. Monitor monthly performance metrics.

Ensure optimization of production cash flows. Review, validates and monitors all production capital expenditures.

Provide financial oversight and analysis for the Direct to Consumer business for both Mumm Napa and Kenwood. Provides financial oversight and ROI analysis of local Brand A&P programming. This includes establishing effective controls, defining system needs and developing operating policies and procedures.

Management of sales and use tax reporting as well as oversight of TTB compliance including coordination with outside consulting

Manage, motivate and develop staff. Develop an environment that actively promotes process improvement and continually strives for best practices.
Nature & Scope:

Position will interface regularly with other senior management at the Mumm Napa facility. Additionally, there will be regular (dotted line) reporting and interaction with Corporate Finance Group.

Significant interface with contacts within and outside the Company; will need to develop strong relationships to advance corporate objectives.

Access to confidential and proprietary data.
Requirements:
Education: Requires Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance & CPA certification (or equivalent).
Experience / Background: Required 7+ years of similar financial experience
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a typical office environment. Limited demands for movement and lifting. Normal visual, hearing and language acuity required for correspondence and computer usage.
