Actuarial Model Governance, Associate Manager

The individual will be an integral part of the Individual Annuity Financial Modeling team in the Financial Management-Corporate Actuarial area. This team is responsible for creating, developing, and researching financial models to support various functions of the individual annuities business. The various functions include: valuation, planning & forecast, asset liability management, asset adequacy testing, capital planning and analysis, and other functions.

The individual’s responsibilities will include:

Support the model governance and change control processes for the internal modeling software.
Monitor and enhance change management processes of the models as changes are made to the models/platform.
Become expert in Annuities actuarial SDLC and ensure compliance with the guidelines.
Coordinate and ensure compliance with company standards on periodic model testing including: end-to-end testing, and baselining.

Support audits/reviews of the actuarial models from our partners (Internal Audit/External Audit/Annuities Risk Management/Enterprise Risk Management/Corporate Actuarial) .

Qualifications:

At least 2 years of experience in the financial services industry
Prior experience with model governance or change management of any other actuarial modeling platform (ALFA, Prophet, GGY AXIS, etc.)
Ability to communicate mathematical/actuarial concepts to non-technical partners
Must be resourceful and dedicated to resolving questions/problems quickly
Strong documentation skills
Ability to handle multiple projects
