Overview

The Customer Service Assistant serves as a driver's helper and is responsible for loading and offloading food, beverages and equipment into vehicles for transport to and from the aircraft. Provides guide on approach to and off of aircraft as required by airline. Works as a second team member in providing catering to flight assignments in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Guide driver of truck during approach and back off of aircraft
  • Load and offload food, beverages and equipment into vehicles and on/off aircraft
  • Prepare/pack items for flights as assigned
  • Clean interiors and exteriors of vehicles
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education

  • High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) or education equivalent required

Knowledge/Skills

  • Basic math skills required
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
  • Ability to work as a team member on a two person crew
  • Ability to push, pull, lift and carry up to 75 lbs required
  • Continuous standing and walking; repetitive motion and frequent bending required

Experience

  • Airline flight kitchen transportation experience preferred

Other

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess a valid state issued driver's license
  • Must be willing and able to work any shift in a 24 hour / 7 day a week operation including nights, weekends and holidays
