Career Centre HelpQantas Ground Services (QGS) is a newly created entity under Qantas Airways. It has been established to provide ground handling services and support Qantas Airport Services when required.
With the opportunity to work in an environment that fosters strong workplace relationships and inspires flexibility, your new position as Ground Crew - will see you working in a fast paced team environment in different areas of the airport including the Freight Terminal. You will be actively participating in the basic clean of the aircraft, providing further assistance to less mobile passengers and operating equipment to ensure on-time departure of aircraft.
You will be responsible for:
- Conducting a detailed interior clean of incoming and outgoing aircraft;
- Reading and interpreting hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests and baggage and cargo routing tags;
- Operating equipment, loading and unloading baggage/freight, repetitively lifting items up to 32kgs; and
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Are you:
- Looking for a part-time or casual, rotating shift position?

- Available to work a 7 day rotating shift roster?
- Holder of a valid provisional or full state or territory drivers licence and able to drive manual vehicles? (MR Advantage)
- Holder of a valid forklift licence? (Advantage)
- Physically fit and able to perform regular lifting duties of up to 32kgs; and
- A team player?

You must be available for the following if successful through the various recruitment steps:
- Attend a 3hr assessment centre.
The recruitment process will also require you to pass:
- Medical Check including health & fitness and Alcohol and Other Drugs test; and
- Security / Background Check including Federal Police Check.
