Job Title: Group Safety & Security Administrator
Department/ Business Area: Group Safety & Security
Location: Peterborough
Role overview: Support the Safety & Security Contract Manager and wider Group Safety & Security Team. You will be responsible for providing first class proactive administrative Safety & Security support. You will adopt an efficient, client focused approach and identify solutions in a timely manner, providing the appropriate advice and guidance to line managers and external audit providers regarding Safety & Security. This is a very broad role encompassing all Group Safety & Security and you will be required to work on ad hoc projects as and when necessary.
Key Tasks:
• Collate information from all business areas within Thomas Cook on employee and customer accidents, incidents, days lost through work related accidents or illness and produce monthly, quarterly and annual MI reports
• Through the A1 Control point system undertake trend analysis and working with the Safety and Security Contract Manager, put in place the relevant control methodologies to address unidentified issues
• Correspond with regulatory authorities where required, including enforcing authority correspondence
• Lead on the administrative implementation of safety & security improvement plans
• Meet and liaise with all third party suppliers in relation to safety & security audits under the direction of the Safety & Security Contract Manager
• Assist the Safety & Security contract manager in planning and organising S&S training, send out joining instructions and keep training records
• Manage record keeping for risk assessments/self-assessments
• Carry out network wide surveys when required and produce meaningful assessments and conclusions from the information
• Assist in the devising and implementation of operational health and safety procedures
• Assist with the preparation of communications to internal, external customers and third party contractors
• Develop strong relations and effective interfaces with internal and external partners
• Process and track incoming invoices ensuring timely payment to vendors and keeping vendors and team members updated on status
• Collate information from all business areas across Thomas Cook including Peterborough and Aldersgate offices
