Job Title: Finance Business Partner – Finance and Group Functions

 

Location: London

 

Role overview:

To provide finance support to the Finance group-wide function and other group functions (Risk, Audit, H&S, Facilities Management), taking responsibility for data collection of financials, financial modelling and analysis, investment appraisal, financial control, monthly monitoring and reporting of functional spend and WAVE project spend and benefits tracking.

 

Key Tasks:

• Work closely with functional heads and project managers to understand and explain the drivers of functional costs and benefits 

• Operate effective processes to assess, manage, monitor and report on operating costs and capital spend relating to the Finance function and other group functions across all segments

• Prepare consolidated monthly results for the Finance function and other group functions across the business for budget, forecast and actual

• Put in place processes to monitor and control group-wide WAVE projects and to track and report on cost out measures

• Challenge the reasonableness and integrity of financial and operational data as appropriate and provide insightful and fact based financial input into planning and implementing initiatives and projects

• Maintain a strong financial controls environment ensuring accounting policies are consistently applied, governance processes are followed and risks are managed and mitigated

• Provide financial advice and guidance to group functional heads and business managers

• Excellent communication skills
• Comfortable working with finance and non-finance (i.e. functional heads, project managers, technical specialists, etc.)
• Detail orientated and challenging approach
• Can do attitude and structured way of working
• Experience of working in and influencing within a multicultural international matrix structure
• Experience of business partnering and supporting investment projects
• Experience of involvement in project appraisal and business case development

Preferred:
• Excellent computer skills – advanced Excel, SAP, COGNOS, TM1
• Dealing with international offices

 

Technical / professional qualifications:
• ACA/CIMA qualified
