Purpose
Regulatory Business Analyst role within the UK regulatory projects group, working as part of the team implementing improvements to regulatory system and new mandatory requirements(CRD4/CO-REP), including calculations and reports
Priorities:
Documenting business requirements and functional specifications for sign off.
Providing regulatory SME support to technical team and reviewing functional specifications.
Preparing and reviewing test cases and test results.
Escalating issues and risks to the Project Manager.
Devising risk mitigation strategies.
Key Outputs
Delivery of high quality business requirements for the new regulatory calculation & reporting solution, including detailed regulatory calculation and reporting requirements.
Preparing test cases and expected results.
User Acceptance Testing for business sign off
Relationships:
Report to the Regulatory projects lead.
Develop working relationship with technology teams.
Develop working relationships with the business.
Experience
Experience working on requirements definition for PRA/FCA regulatory capital calculations
BOE and PRA/FCA reporting.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
Good knowledge of PRA/FCA, BOE and/or COREP reporting requirements.
Good knowledge of PRA/FCA Regulatory Rules for Investment firms and Banks (BIPRU).
An understanding and an appreciation of the Project Life Cycle
Accounting background (useful but not essential)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of Axiom, is desirable but not essential
Qualifications
By experience
Degree preferred
Qualified accountant preferred

Negotiation skills
Reasoned decision taker
Ability to articulate risks versus rewards surrounding project dynamics
Clear and concise written / oral communication skills
