Global Finance Technology's (GFT) builds and supports the firm's financial infrastructure to ensure Finance professionals have access to the tools and information necessary to drive success. In partnership with Global Finance Operations (GFO), Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) and others, we deliver solutions that meet the requirements of our key clients - the JPMorgan Chase CFO and Corporate Finance Organizations, as well as all line of business CFO teams.
As a Senior Java Application Developer, the candidate will perform various activities in support of the GFT Java shared services team. The position will support the application by participating in requirements gathering, functional specifications review, completion of technical design, build activities relative to developing the application, and provide support during all phases of testing. Candidate will be involved in all phases of software development, will work closely with GFT Business Analyst's, and infrastructure team in order to meet our client's need. Candidate will also support the application by maintaining existing code on a day to day basis by assisting the operate team, if required.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology
-
5+ years in software development
-
5 + years experience in Java/J2EE Technology
-
3 years experience with Spring and Struts framework
-
3 years experience with Hibernate/ORM tools
-
Familiar with various design patterns and UML tools
-
Proven experience working with a distributed offshore and onsite team.

Strong proficiency with with Eclipse based IDE
-
Strong oral and written communications skill
Preferred:
Portal Experience - Liferay or similar
Webservices - RESTful or SOAP
