Job title : Operations Control Management
Bank title : Vice President
Business Description
Governance and oversight function covering Operations and Operations Control(hereafter Operations collaboratively for two teams) to mitigate operational risks.
Operations Control Management will collaborate with Operations and other internal control departments to ensure robust control framework in in place as well as change management process are in line with various law, regulation, or internal policies.
Job Function/Responsibilities
- Responsible for establishing appropriate client confidentiality controls
- Analyze reportable errors, client confidentiality breaches, and other notable errors
- Determine appropriateness of corrective actions, proper closure of Action Plans, and evaluating the effectiveness of these plans from errors
- Analyze error trending across Operations and identify areas of improvement
- Identify areas of improvement from control aspect and establish framework or workflow to remediate such
- Manage self control assessment process collaborating with each Operations’ managers
- Escalate to control agenda within Operations to local senior management as necessary
Job Requirements
The candidate should be able to demonstrate the following characteristics:

- Strong communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details
- Ability to foresee issues and come up with strategies
- Ability to develop good relationships among Operations and others key functions within the organization
- Understanding of global and local(Japanese) regulations
- Bilingual in English and Japanese
- Middle office/operational experience preferred but not essential
- JSDA 1st and 2nd class Sales Representative license holders
- Strong PC Skills (Excel, Word, Lotus Notes) essential, Excel Macro and MS Access (preferred)
