We are looking for an experienced lawyer to work within the legal department’s Treasury Services legal team, reporting to the global co-head Treasury Services based in London. Treasury Services is a top-ranked, full service provider of cash and liquidity management, payment, collection, escrow, payment card, trade finance, and information solutions to more than 135,000 corporate and institutional clients globally and is part of the Corporate and Investment Bank.
The role requires detailed analysis and understanding of financial services and other regulatory developments which is relevant to the Treasury Services business and will partner with the business to provide strategic advice in understanding and implementing and new regulation and refining existing procedures. The role requires knowledge/understanding of some/all of the following regimes:
· FCA Handbooks and associated guidance (eg, Client Assets Handbook, Conduct of Business Sourcebook, COLL Rules, DISP Rules, SYSC Rules)
· Payment Services Regulations
· MIFID/MIFIR
· EMIR
· Recovery and Resolution Planning
· Insolvency Regulations
· Proceeds of Crime, AML, Sanctions regulations
· Competition law matters
· Data privacy matters
The role will also be responsible for leading cross-border and global projects that impact the Treasury Services business.
Experience and Qualifications
· Practising UK qualified lawyer with minimum 8 years PQE.
· Candidates should have a strong understanding of financial services and the application of regulation in this context.
· Proven ability to provide advice to senior management on legal and regulatory matters within a financial services setting.
