Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Department/ Business Area: Finance

Location: Aldersgate, London

Role overview: To support implementation of  wave 2 transformation costs/benefits tracking and reporting and accounting governance

 

Key Tasks:
• to prepare exception/variance reports in wave to review, validate costs/benefits reporting in wave and follow up with finance support and wave owners to ensure timely, accurate and quality financial reporting of transformation 
• to act as system admin role for wave system so that all centrally controlled master data can be maintained and updated
• to liaise with various user groups of wave and gather wave 2 reporting requirement change requests and liaise with Mckinsey to process the requests in wave
• to support implementation of  appropriate accounting, reporting and planning differentiation between transformational and business as usual activities
• to prepare consolidated balanced reporting of historic and future transformational activity and provide insightful analysis highlighting risks and opportunities
• to help identify and implement technology solutions necessary to deliver effective and efficient transformation reporting 
• to maintain modeling for investment analysis related to transformation projects

Personal Skills/ Knowledge:

 

Essential:
• At least 3  years' experience of finance roles
• Attention to detail
• Work under pressure and able to multi-task
• Resilience and professionalism
• Analytical mind set

 

Technical/ Professional Qualifications:
• University degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
