Business Development Manager 'Higher Education'

The main objective of the Business Development Manager ‘Higher Education‘ is to proactively and systematically pursue adding new partners and new business opportunities for Barco’s collaborative education solutions in the assigned region (Europe or US).
More in particular, he/she will
- Develop relationships with end users, channels, consultants and eco system partners in the domain of Higher Education;
- Collaborate with teammates, mainly in sales and product management, and maintain a positive and professional attitude fostering teamwork;
- Achieve quota for sales funnel with prospective partners/customers;
- Develop, present and implement plans to divisional management for acquiring new partners/customers and traction in the assigned area - including activity breakdowns, performance milestones, resource requirements and expense budget;
- Prepare and submit activity reports and business forecasts as required;
- Maintain all prospective customer data in the company CRM database and use the information contained therein as the sole resource for prospective customer and partner interactions.
- Experience in the Higher Education market in similar or related role for software intense solutions ;
- Experience in IT and/or software industry is preferred;
- Motivated and self directed professional that can operate within guidelines assigned;
- Excellent communication, presentation and persuasion skills and positive professional attitude;
- Must demonstrate competence in advanced networking, relationship development, target marketing to specific channel prospects, and have advanced selling skills.
- Frequent travel is required.
