Summary Statement:

 

Role:  Provides strategic planning, training & organization development expertise and services to the plant staff and work teams  at a Manufacturing/Integrated Supply Chain  plant environment.  Partners with Human Resource generalists in the areas of performance management, learning and development, talent development, diversity and inclusion, team effectiveness, change management and organization effectiveness.  Lead Education and Training Pillar for the site.

 

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

 

Responsibilities:

·         Provides strategic leadership, development and deliver talent and organizational development (TOD) services in the following areas:

·         E&T Pillar – Lead the development and deployment of Pillar tools and work process to ensure capability of employees across the site. (40%)

·         Change management – design and/or facilitate implementation of change management initiatives at the plant as required. Partner in execution of organization wide change implementation with Human Resources, Continuous Improvement Group, Plant Staff and other clients as requested. Create and execute communication/stakeholder management plans.  (10%)

·         High Performance Work Systems- basic understand and application of  HPWS  and Kaizen principles. (5%)

·         Lean/Six Sigma – basic understanding of Lean/6 Sigma principles and application in Manufacturing work environment. (5%)

·         Team and Leader Effectiveness – manage the implementation of team effectiveness tools and skills to meet the needs of client groups as required.  Provide input on how to improve the tools/skills. (20%) 

·         Talent Development – support talent development/Succession Planning processes at the plant and BU level as required.  Support the planning, preparation and facilitation of calibration sessions, as well as talent development follow-ups. May be called upon to coach/develop talent.  (10%)

·         Learning and Development – Assess strategic talent development needs across the plant.  Diagnose learning and development needs and determine approach for meeting such needs.  Design and implement learning and development projects.  Support ongoing employee development and feedback effectiveness. (5%)

·         Performance Management - support the execution of the performance management cycle from goal setting and development planning, through mid- and year-end performance reviews. (5%) 

Bachelor's degree required in Industrial Relations or Human Resources.  In addition, 1-3 years prior work in Human Resource Administration is required. Employee relations experience preferred. Union free work related experience is desired.
