This position is for communication SW engineering supporting 3G/4G components for HP Notebooks and Tablets. He/she needs proactively working with other cross-functional engineering groups to enable our ODM partners to innovatively integrate Wireless components into HP PC products.

PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

-- Enable our technology and ODM partners to integrate and develop Wireless products that satisfy HP customer requirements.

-- Provide Wireless technical leadership and guidance to ODMs on complex problems.

-- Work with technology providers and ODMs to enhance technical and resource capability to support demands of HP future product strategy and

roadmap.

-- Drive ODMs & Technology Providers to innovate in technology solutions to offer enhanced or new services to HP customers.

-- Engage other engineering teams and represent Wireless Comms team at various technology forums

-- Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members

•  Bachelor's (undergraduate) degree or Master's (graduate) degree in engineering discipline.
•  Minimum of 6 years’ experience in communication SW industry
•  Must possess a very strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle and methodologies.
•  Strong knowledge of 3G/4G Protocol and C/C++ coding Skill. WiFi/BT background is plus
•  Strong knowledge of Windows/Android OS and how device (USB/PCI-E/SDIO/UART)driver integrates with HW and FW.
•  Proven problem solving skills and techniques.
•  Effectively manages multiple projects simultaneously across businesses.
•  Ability to coordinate the work of others against requirements of schedule and quality.
•  Generates new and innovative solutions to complex problems.
•  Acts as technical expert regarding communication technical trends.
•  Excellent team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
•  Experience in working with internal and external partners.
•  Fluency in English and Mandarin
