Sr. Technologist (MASTER) for converged system solutions for SAP (1305442) (Blue 2 Laura-Map)

Job Description

An architect for the team will have recognized leadership responsibility for leading part of the HP SAP Converged System and Solutions technical team, and ensuring that the team meets business, technical, and performance quality objectives. Some of the responsibilities will include:

· Lead the design effort for the HP Converged Systems solutions for SAP

· Drive technical strategy for HP Converged Systems Solutions, and provide guidance for future roadmaps to help expand HP’s leadership

· Lead technical involvement with HP organizations (R&D and customer facing), partners and customers for building the solutions

· Lead creation of new systems, solutions, IP and standards in the area of HP solutions for SAP HANA and echo systems offerings, management solutions.

· Ensure that the team’s technical plans align with broader HP business objectives

· Apply in-depth & broad technical and business knowledge beyond the System engineering team in order to provide solutions in other technology areas

· Able to analyze the industry trends and able to influence future directions and strategy of the HP’s SAP solution market

· Deep understanding of in memory RDBMS for Analytical, and “Big Data”environments

· Guide, mentor and support other engineers

Qualifications:

· 10+ years experience successfully leading technical initiatives with large, complex, cross-organizational solutions

· Demonstrated ability to secure trust and technical influence over peers in other organizations

· Demonstrated ability to clearly form and communicate ideas and thoughts for wide audiences including both technical and business level audiences. Ability to communicate and influence executive level.

· Able to interact with customers, industry analysts, marketing & field to gain insight in future requirements & industry trends.

· Proven track record of developing complex business solutions for enterprise customers

· Recognized leadership skills that span multiple technical disciplines

· Demonstrated ability to innovate with new ideas and technology

· Demonstrated understanding of technologies including, server, storage, networking, management, HA, fault tolerance, security etc.

· Deep understanding of database and in memory database, Analytics, Big Data technologies and enterprise class mission critical market needs

· In depth experience with various server architectures and system performance tuning (x86 platform expertise a must)

· Demonstrated experience designing and building integrated software products with ISV partners

· Experience with SAP HANA and/or SAP software would be a plus point

Education and Experience Required:

Master’s (graduate) degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 plus year’s related experience.
