Field Solution Architect - Cloud Collaboraion

This position is part of CDW's Collaboration Solutions Practice, a single-source provider to our clients for all things Unified Communications and Collaboration. We have more than 125 Cisco Certified Engineers on staff, including engineers for network infrastructure, unified communications, contact center, unified communications application development, security, storage and wireless. With more than ten years of Unified Communications experience, CDW has completed more than 4,000 UC projects. CDW is Cisco Master Certified in Unified Communications as well as holds Advanced Technology Partner certifications in Video/TelePresence and Contact Center.
The Collaboration market is growing, as are the needs of our customers. CDW has launched a Cloud Unified Communications offering. This position will be focused on driving this solution from a design, awareness, and business development standpoint.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales support of CDW Cloud Collaboration related opportunities across all geographies.
- Understand client's infrastructures; compare and contrast this infrastructure to the CDW Cloud Collaboration solution.
- Support of client Demos and Proof of Concepts
- Support the development of business opportunities in conjunction with the Telecom Team.
- Responsible for all technical content of the proposal process. Including RFI, RFQ and RFP responses and all technical designs.
- Ensure strong, effective market share of multiple Carrier solutions. Provide guidance and information on the solutions, while effectively contrasting each Carrier from the other.
- Train CDW sales teams across all segments on CDW Cloud Collaboration
- Make telephone and in-person calls and presentations to clients and prospects.
- Develop and present professional proposals and client deliverables.
- Coordinate the quoting and contracting process on CDW Cloud Collaboration offerings.
- Provide timely and accurate work estimates for clients.
- Provide management oral and written reports on the client needs, problems, interests, market situations, competitive activities, and potential for new products/services.
- Be knowledgeable about products, applications, technical service, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical services.
Responsibilities
- Update sales projections and pipeline data weekly.
- Work with other CDW departments on the execution of specialist related orders and sales incentives
- Provide feedback to Product & Partner Management groups concerning trends and opportunities
- Work with Public Relations as a subject matter expert on Cloud Unified Communications offerings
- Estimated division of responsibilities
- 75% Sales activities via conference calls, email, and customer visits
- 20% Training – technology and personal development
- 5% Team development and miscellaneous tasks
Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years of hosted unified communications or carrier solutions experience.
- 4+ years of technical sales or technical experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or the equivalent in experience.
- Ability to travel up to 50% as needed.
Other Required Qualifications
- Consulting or pre-sales experienceinexperience in solution sales.
- Strong understanding of multiple telecom carriers products and services
- Solid understanding of hostingHhsting and managed services solutions including Cisco, Microsoft and IBM technologies. Cisco, ShoreTel Sky, Thinking Phones, 8x8, WestIP, AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint among others.
- Thorough knowledge of Cisco UC products and related infrastructure.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills including consulting skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
