Field Solution Architect - Security

This position is part of CDW's Cisco Practice, a single-source provider to our clients for all things Cisco. We have more than 800 Cisco Certified Engineers on staff, including engineers for security, network infrastructure, unified communications, contact center, storage and wireless. CDW was the first Cisco channel partner worldwide to earn Master Specialization status in Security. CDW is a Cisco Gold Certified Partner and was named Cisco’s Americas Partner of the Year in 2012.
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Provide pre-sales and post-sales support of Cisco Security and Symantec DLP related opportunities across all geographies.
- Understand client's security environment; compare and contrast this infrastructure to the CDW solution portfolio.
- Provide internal sales assistance on the Cisco and Symantec DLP product plans; communicate these plans to other staff.
- Make telephone and in-person calls and presentations to clients and potential clients.
- Create and deliver polished proposals and client deliverables.
- Coordinate hardware and software quotations with Vendor Sales Teams.
- Provide timely and accurate work estimates for clients.
- Provide management oral and written reports on the client needs, problems, interests, market situations, competitive activities, and potential for new products/services.
- Be knowledgeable about products, applications, technical service, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature, seminars, and online training.
Responsibilities
- Work with other CDW departments on cross-selling opportunities
- Provide feedback to Product & Partner Management groups concerning trends and opportunities
- Work with Public Relations and Marketing as a subject matter expert
- 75% Sales activities via conference calls, email, and customer visits
- 20% Training – technology and personal development
- 5% Team development and miscellaneous tasks
- Travel 50% of the time
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of technical sales or technical experience

Preferred Qualifications
- CISSP accreditation
