Description:
 
The Rockies Business Unit (RBU) is a new business unit created when the old Mid-Continent BU (MCBU) was split into two business units, the RBU and MCBU.  In addition to a number of legacy conventional gas and coalbed methane assets, the RBU has a large (600,000 acre) position in the Williston Basin of Montana and North Dakota and is considered a premier development play in the Company’s asset portfolio.  A $7B capital program is planned for the Bakken play over the next 10 years.  It is a high profile, growth area for the Company.  Additionally, the RBU has an active and growing exploration and development program in the Niobrara formation in Colorado. 
 
The RBU Reserves Technician will report to the RBU Chief Reservoir Engineer and will be based in Houston, Texas. The Reserves Technician will assist the Chief Reservoir Engineer with database activities for proved reserves and unproved resources, coordinating training for RBU staff, and providing reserves/resource updates to Management and the asset teams. The Reserves Technician will also provide support to the RBU asset teams with updating reserves forecasts in the existing Reserves Management System (RMS), as well as assisting in testing the functionality of a new reserves system scheduled to replace RMS in 2015.
