- Maintain a proved reserves database that is SEC-compliant
- Ensure that the RBU has a well-documented and readily available presentation of the SEC-compliant case for all fields
- Work closely with the RBU Chief Reservoir Engineer and asset teams to review the technical basis for reserves bookings and to help address any reserves related RBU inquiries or issues
- Provide support to RBU asset teams with updating reserves forecasts in the existing Reserves Management System
- Assisting in testing the functionality of a new reserves system scheduled to replace RMS in 2016
- Maintain a current knowledge base regarding Industry reserves issues and regulations
- Maintain an unproved resource database reflective of the resource assessment work conducted within the RBU asset teams
- Coordinate and gather data for periodic updates to Management and the asset teams regarding RBU reserves added and resources identified
- Coordinate necessary reserves training for RBU Reservoir Engineers and Technicians
- Liaison with RCAT team as required for reserve questions or requests for data
Basic/Required:
-
Legally authorized to work in the United States
-
5+ years of experience in the petroleum industry
-
Proficient with MS Office products: Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Preferred:
-
Associate’s degree in engineering, geosciences, or other technical curriculum
-
10+ years of experience in the oil and gas industry
-
5+ years of experience as an engineering technician in the oil and gas industry
-
Proficient with Oil Field Manager (OFM) and Peep economics software
-
Knowledge of reserves estimation and reporting, including estimation methods and reserves/resource definitions

Familiar with the ConocoPhillips Reserves Management System (RMS)
-
Experience working with multi-discipline teams
-
Strong written and oral communication skills
-
Strong computer and database skills
-
Manages tasks to effectively and efficiently complete work responsibilities of self and others

Transmits information so it is received and understood in the way it was intended

Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments
