MMCM-Physical Therapy Supervisor

The Physical Therapy Supervisor should assist the Rehabilitation Services management in the monitoring and maintenance of efficient, effective and accurate levels of operation of clinical function, whose client base includes patients of all ages. The incumbent monitors the overall operation of the inpatient services guiding the job performance of the department staff on a day-to-day basis, assures adequate staffing, works with the Clinical Educator to insure proper orientation and training of employees, and provides clinical Physical Therapy to patients as defined by the Physical Therapy Practice Act (State of California), which coincide with the current Policies of Memorial Medical Center.

 

Serving the greater Stanislaus County with 423 plus acute care beds, Memorial Medical Center provides a full continuum of care including 24-hour emergency care, inpatient and outpatient surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics, nuclear medicine, dialysis therapy, diagnostic imaging, intensive care, physical therapy, and home health. Specialized care includes Memorial Regional Cancer Center and Memorial Heart Institute.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors, Masters or Certificate in Physical Therapy. 
• Current Physical Therapy license from State of California. 
• Minimum of three (3) years of recent acute care clinical practice. 
• Demonstrate leadership skills. 
• Computer experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Able to compose and draft correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, etc. 
• Demonstrate interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others. 
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. 
• Ability to read, write, hear and verbally communicate in English to the degree required to perform the job.
• Must be able to travel in and out of Stanislaus County. If MMC and/or own vehicle used on MMC business, must possess valid California Driver’s License and upon request proof of liability insurance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy. 
• Prior supervisory experience. 
• Member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
