Data Warehouse ETL Developer

Overview:
This resource will be part of eODS DataWarehousing project and would be part of eODS development team. This resource is expected to be hands on and will be tasked with designing/developing individual modules as part of the project. On a daily basis this resource is expected to contribute in design/development activities, analyze requirements for their work modules (and provide feedback), work with Support team during implementation phase for any critical production issue; communicate their task status in daily status calls.
Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative data warehouse/ETL solutions to meet both the immediate and emerging needs of the business
- Collaborate with the team/implement independent tasks on data warehousing application and database architecture design
- Analyze business requirements and be able to translate same to design/technical specs and implementation
- Troubleshoot complex production support issues post release deployment and come up with solutions
- Communicate task status to leadership as and when needed
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4 or more years of IT experience with expertise in data warehousing platforms.
- 4 or more years of development or similar experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL, MySQL etc.)
- 4 or more years of development and/or architecture experience with ETL tools (Informatica, Datastage, etc.)
- Working knowledge of data models
- Strong design artifact experience in documentation of data flow, data mapping and data exchange specifications
Assets:
- Knowledge and professional experience in data warehousing related infrastructure
- Knowledge and experience in DBMS performance and tuning
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Proficiency with MS VisioHealthcare Industry experience
