Job Description:
- Create, issue and schedule purchase orders for raw material based on Kanban signals.
- Responsible for inventory level management and meeting inventory dollar and turn goal objectives.
- Responsible for achieving OTD (On-Time Delivery) Goals
- Responsible for scheduling materials to support manufacturing and production requirements.
- Proactively identify potential Supply Chain issues and communicate to the Materials Manager.
- Effectively manage Suppliers to reduce lead time, ensure on time delivery and ensure quality materials received. Will need to expedite materials as required.
- Responsible for minimizing Excess and obsolete inventory and obtaining timely disposition of materials.
- Manage smooth transitions of new parts to minimize obsolescence without interruption in manufacturing.
- Process NCR (Non-Conforming material Requests) for manufactured parts.
- Manage the Corrective Action process with assigned suppliers.
- Participate in the daily Gemba walks and provide updates.
- Participate in the planning functions for new product development.
- Ensure adequate materials are available to support new product launch.
- Establish and manage Kanban cards for all raw materials.
- Make timely changes to Kanban quantities and cards as required.
- Assist in resolving any receiving issues.
- Responsible for fully understanding Oracle and utilize effectively.
- Open and close work orders as required.
- Assure compliance with FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ISO regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (BBA) in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Procurement or related field and 3 years of relevant related experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in (ERP) Enterprise Resource Planning systems (Oracle preferred)
- APICS certification (CPIM) or willingness to obtain
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Excellent time management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Products—Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
