Description:
The Eagle Ford Facilities engineering team provides engineering, design and oversight for the construction of oil and gas processing & transportation facilities across the ConocoPhillips Eagle Ford development. This position provides support for engineering as well as the construction process. Primary functions are compiling project packages, project verification & QC, data gathering and document management.
Responsibilities may include:
- Assist with facility and pipeline workflow processes (order long lead materials, track support function approvals, etc.)
- Quality control of engineering project packages, including validation of project scope, review of bill of materials, etc. for accuracy, proper application of engineering specifications, and drawing review
- Validate project scope through field verification and walk-downs of existing sites to support new engineering projects. Verification of new facilities on existing pads
- Establish preliminary routing and engineering design requirements for new flowline/pipeline projects. Review and approve field surveys.
- Assist in risk assessment documentation (confirm project scope and risks with engineer, enter assessment data into Stature)
- Coordinate project controls (confirm supplement requests with engineer, upload supplements for approval)
- Data gathering for simulation and modeling efforts, including QA/QC
- Assist with compiling project evaluation packages
- Data management and analysis to identify opportunities for optimization
- Support Management of Change (MOC) process
- Participate in incident investigations, process improvement initiatives
- Support and maintain Facility Engineering Training/Onboarding Programs
Basic/Required:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- 5+ years as an engineering technician in the oil & gas industry
Preferred:
- Focus on safety, capable of being a safety leader on site and in the office
- Experience with the design, installation and construction of oil & gas production facilities
- Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards Familiarity with DOT regulations for oil & gas pipelines
- Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, MS Project and Livelink systems
- Responds resourcefully, flexibly and positively when faced with challenges and demands
