Description:
A member of the Eagle Ford Facilities Engineering team, the Staff engineer provides technical support and functional excellence for the Projects organization. This position supports a broad range of engineering activities and provides oversight for ongoing facilities development and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities may include:
- Technical Lead for the organization
- Advise on project development
- Provide oversight and detailed engineering review to ensure proper standards and engineering practices are applied
- Help champion process safety; participate in risk assessments and process hazard analyses as appropriate
- Assist/advise on optimization studies and performance modeling
- Support/Advise Quality and A&OI programs; Packaged equipment QA/QC
- Primary role in functional excellence
- Assist in development of training programs
- Competency assessment and provide guidance on applying new skills
- Participate in peer reviews for select projects
- Mentor and coach other engineers
- Coordinate group training sessions
- Assist with Project Development
- Assist with front end loading, technical support and planning for infrastructure projects
- Peer assist and technical resource for Eagle Ford
Basic/Required:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 7+ years of experience in Facility Engineering/Project Management
- 7+ years of experience field operations within the oil and gas industry
Preferred:
- Preferred degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering. Other disciplines (Petroleum, Electrical, Civil Engineering) may be appropriate if combined with applicable work experience in areas such as natural gas processing, hydraulics, pipeline design/construction, compression, dehydration and gas gathering
- Experience with onshore oil & gas production systems
- Direct experience applying industry codes and standards, specifically ASME, NACE and API
- Working knowledge of technical programs, such as PIPESIM and HYSIS, is advantageous
- Focus on safety, capable of being a safety leader on site and in the office
- Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments

- Generates effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to delivering results while maintaining a safe environment
