Real Estate and Facilities Services (REFS) is a leader in blending global expertise for corporate real estate activities to create innovative workplace solutions and facility services that optimize customer performance around the world.
Responsibilities may include:
The REFS Property Tax, Real Estate, Right of Way and Claims (PTRRC) Agent may be responsible for:
- Preparation and analysis of property tax returns
- Negotiating complex property tax valuations with state and local agencies, preparing and presenting valuation protests/appeals to county assessment officials including appearing before administrative boards
- Acquiring/leasing/disposing of surface real estate, office space, warehouse facilities and rights of way, including document preparation, negotiations, title review and closing. Investigates, negotiates and settles claims related to property
- Conceptual capacity and flexibility to handle all Property Tax, Real Estate, Right of Way & Claims (PTRRC) roles and responsibilities in a geographic area
- Utilizing computer systems involved in job functions, such as Property Tax Management System, Risk Master, Tobin and SAP
Basic/Required:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, or related technical field
- 3+ years of property tax valuation and compliance experience
- 3+ years of experience in mineral valuation in the state of Texas
Preferred:
- 1+ years of real estate or Right-Of-Way (ROW) experience
- 1+ years of oil & gas industry experience
- Must be a self-starter able to work with minimal supervision and work well in a team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills required with the ability to establish/maintain relationships with internal and external business partners, suppliers, organizations, and agencies
- Computer proficient including applications for word processing (Microsoft Word), spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), data bases and SAP
- Willing to travel up to 20% of the time
- Transmits information so it is received and understood in the way it was intended
- Manages tasks to effectively and efficiently complete work responsibilities of self and others
- Analyzes issues and understands their business impact
- Encourages new ways of looking at problems, processes, or solutions
