Purpose of Position

The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial expertise and analysis to product line management, monthly financial close, financial reporting and forecasting. Job tasks include financial statement rollup, financial analysis and support for product line management, preparation of financial presentations reviewed by executive management, accounting entries and reconciliations, spending and headcount analysis and reporting.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

·       Financial statement generation

·       Analyzing, modeling and forecasting financial data

·       Preparing and presenting monthly and quarterly reporting                      packages

·       Variance analysis, investigation and commentary

·       Spending consolidation and analysis

·       Assessing the financial implications of business decisions

·       Monthly close process, JE creation, account reconciliation

·       Successful process improvements

·       Presenting complex accounting issues to Senior management

·       Cross functional team participation and leadership

Background and Skill

 

·       Bachelors Degree in Accounting or finance required. MBA is              preferred.

·       CPA is a plus.

·       Minimum of 4-6 years of accounting experience.

·       Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls required.

·       Working knowledge of financial statement preparation.

·       Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.

·       Ability to multi task.

·       Ability to work under minimal supervision.

·       Good project management skills.

·       Proficiency with Hyperion Financial Reporting Systems and/or            Essbase a plus
