Position Title: Region Manager

Position Location: New York City, home-based 

 

Position Summary: The primary responsibilities of this position are managing P&L and delivering profit goal for the region in conjunction with DWD, creating plans that deliver execution against KPIs and strategic imperatives, ensuring PRUSA strategic imperatives and local KPIs are being achieved, actively managing performance through informal and formal checks.

 

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

Nature & Scope:

Position typically works with senior sales, wines trade marketing, and distributor management/brokers in addition to maintaining close contact with key members of the trade. Communication can include sensitive information, requiring confidentiality and discretion in dealings with contacts. Incumbent plans activities for this position yearly/monthly with individual initiative in daily routine. Decisions impact the department and organization as a whole, and errors may cause significant expense and volume losses to the entire organization. Performance and growth of the Wine & Champagne group directly impacts company profitability.

 

Requirements:

 

Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree.

 

Experience / Background: Position requires minimum 5 years of previous sales management experience in fine wine business and/or distributor management. Must have experience managing a multi-branded portfolio, imported and domestic wines on a multi-state level, and recruiting, motivating, and building a regional sales team.

 

Travel: Frequent

Estimate: 75% of time

 

Working Conditions: Work is performed in a typical field sales office. Frequent travel to customer sites is required.
