POSITION SUMMARY
 
As a consolidation and internal auditor, the candidate will undertake of a variety of controlling, consulting and administrative tasks to support PR Americas affiliates improving efficiency of processes and sharing best practices.
The position offers 2 different roles:
  • As member of the internal audit team, the candidate will participate to the independent appraisal of the effectiveness of the policies, procedures and standards by which the companies’ resources are managed. The auditor will play a key role in ensuring procedures in the business units are relevant and consistently applied in accordance with PR Group standards.
  • As a consolidation auditor, the candidate will work on the bi-annual consolidation of Pernod Ricard Americas financial statements and their submission to Paris headquarters.


 
 
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Internal Audit:
As such, the Consolidation and Internal Audit auditor should be acting as a facilitator in business risk management. The candidate will carry-out the financial and operational audits as planned with PR Group audit committee, assessing:
  • Compliance with PR Group internal control policies and LSF questionnaire
  • The management risk and ensuring that the risk has appropriate mitigating controls
  • Accuracy, timeliness and relevance of the financial that is provided to Management
  • Making recommendations on the systems and procedures being reviewed
  • Monitoring management's response and implementation of action plans
 
Consolidation:
The Consolidation and Internal audit auditor will prepare the consolidated financial statements following International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and PR Group Accounting Guidelines. The key elements of the position are:
  • Anticipate some possible closing issues of the affiliates and provide accounting technical guidance
  • Review sections of the consolidation package to ensure accuracy of data and to analyze context of information, specifically the bridge between Reporting and Consolidation
  • Coordinate the intercompany reconciliation process of PR Americas affiliates
  • Co-ordinate the Pensions reporting requirements of affiliates based on IAS 19 and PR Group Accounting Guidelines
  • Prepare and communicate to PR Group headquarters the consolidated PR Americas financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L and Cash Flow Statement
Key Competencies
 
Qualifications/ profile:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analysis or other comparable related field
  • 3/4 years’ experience in an Audit Consulting Firm
  • Comparable experience in FMCG company
  • A knowledge of internal control audit procedures including planning, techniques, test and sampling methods
  • Demonstrated experience in ethics and fraud enquiries
  • Strong accounting background and experience with exposure to consolidation activities (B&S by Flow, CFS, consolidation adjustments, Deferred tax computation)
  • IFRS knowledge
  • Effectively utilize of MS Office software (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with financial reporting and consolidation processes/systems (JDE/ SAP/ HFM…)
  • An ability to gather, analyze and evaluate facts and to prepare and present concise oral and written reports
  • An ability to maintain current knowledge of developments related to business matters of interest to internal/external audit
  • An ability to establish and retain effective working relationships with other staff and to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Must be fluent in English; Spanish and French are nice to have
