Purpose of Position: 
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Test Engineer to join our New Product Development team. This person will apply basic and advanced principles of Test Engineering to design, develop and implement methods of validation and verification for Instrumentation during the research, development and maintenance life-cycle. Additional responsibilities include new product development by providing electrical engineering support.

Education, Background and Skill Requirements

  • BS with a minimum of 7 years of directly relevant experience or an MS with 3 years of directly relevant experience; electrical engineering preferred
  • Strong Analog and instrumentation skills
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics with minimal design engineering input 
  • Basic wiring, solder, and electronic assembly skills
  • Ability to calculate parametric values in common circuit configurations 
  • Proficient in C/C++ and Labview, experience with Test Stand a plus..
  • Proficient in the use of standard test and measurement equipment.
  • Basic understanding of hardware prototype bring-up, debug and fault detection.
  • Basic understanding of communication interfaces such as RS232, RS485, TCP/IP,USB, GPIB, and MODBUS
  • Basic understanding of good Metrology practices.
  • Strong understanding of embedded systems and software development a plus
  • Understand use of dll or .net in LabVIEW/Test Stand framework as part of test systems development a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
