Rolls-Royce's Submarine business is the sole technical authority for nuclear steam raising plant (NSRP) and is responsible for all major activities on NSRP including plant design, project management, manufacturing and procurement, safety assessment and commissioning.
The Submarines business manufactures and supplies pressure vessels, fuel cores, propulsors, flexible couplings and turbo-generators.
We now have an exciting opportunity within our business for an Operations Delivery Executive to manage significant programmes of work undertaken in the Operating Business Units (OBUs).
Role Summary
Reporting to the Operations Director this role will ensure that the committed inventory and delivery plans for Operations are monitored and that areas requiring additional capability and capacity are identified and recovery actions are implemented.
The role holder will provide overall integration and convergence of all planning and scheduling activities within Operations across Design, Purchase, Manufacturing Engineering and Manufacturing.
Key Accountabilities

To define, implement and drive standardisation of process and performance measures across Operations.

To validate the quality and robustness of all Business Unit plans ensuring risks to the planned performance of Operations are evaluated, communicated and mitigated.

To consolidate overall Operations performance to plan and ensure short term (0-3 months) corrective actions are taken to meet the needs of the customer.

To define and implement the value chain actions required to achieve consistent 95% delivery performance across Operations.

To lead and co-ordinates Operations Business & performance reviews and ensure achievement of relevant weekly / monthly reporting cycles.

Accountable for ensuring that the appropriate focus and prioritisation is provided across the OBU's to ensure delivery is secured whilst optimising costs and resources.

To provide independent challenge and governance of performance into each of the OBU's leaders across the scope of the operations functions.

Leading the overall integration and implementation of improved planning, scheduling and programme management of all operations activities covering process, tools and people.

Holding overall accountability for the development and improvement of the Planning & Control and Programme Management capabilities within the Operations business.
Person Specification

Held significant Operational roles in complex environments demonstrating breadth of experience and implementation of change

Have a track record of delivering world class operational performance and programming planning in both favourable and unfavourable conditions using cross functional teams.

Able to influence at senior levels to improve process thinking and drive improvements

Nuclear Industry experience desirable

Have a companywide outlook and exposure to differing cultures and ways of working
