Responsibilities:

 
-Deploy and manage multi-system or clustered configurations.

-Work with F5 LTM/GTM load balancers; develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures; research and recommend automated approaches for system administration tasks; and perform systems monitoring, and verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes.

-Perform network and systems monitoring using Cacti, Nagios, SiteScope and PRTG.

-Review and analyze system and application logs, verifying completion of scheduled jobs; perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions; perform back-up operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed-up; and perform regular file archival and removal.

-Provide production support for P1 alerts as requested; repair and recover from hardware or software failures; apply OS patches and upgrades; configure new services as necessary for development, QA and production servers; upgrade and configure system software that supports healthcare infrastructure applications; maintain operational, configuration and other procedures; perform periodic performance reporting; perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization; configure CPU, memory and disk partitions; and maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment.

-Utilize experience with the LAMP software stack and J2EE deployment and operational activities.

-Lead other Systems Administrators in mentoring and training of Systems Administration tasks and meeting Operational Metrics.

-Must be available for 24/7/365 rotations once a month and more frequently in P1 escalations.

Must also have demonstrated ability (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following:

-LAMP software stack and J2EE deployment and operational activities;
-Network and Systems monitoring - Nagios, Cacti, SiteScope and PRTG
-Leading other Systems Administrators to meet goals and defined operational metrics
-Participation in 24/7/365 On-Call Rotation
