A capable, resilient leader of operational departments, your new position as Ground Services Operational Team Manager will see you responsible for managing the delivery of Ramp, Baggage and Fleet operations.
Reporting to the Ground Services Manager, you will be able to foster a high-performance culture through the effective coaching and mentoring of our Ground Operations employees.
Your remit extends to project management leadership, and ensuring effective stakeholder engagement. You will also be responsible for driving the implementation of key strategic change projects within the department. Key Responsibilities include:
- Leading and motivating a large operational team
- Engendering a performance culture by ensuring performance reviews are conducted
- Adherence to case and absence management processes
- Identifying opportunities for training and staff development
- Driving operational excellence and continuous improvement through optimal utilisation of people, equipment and resources
- Achieving operational financial performance targets
- Driving business strategy by managing a portfolio of project initiatives.
- Maintaining close relationships with external parties such as Qantas Ground Services, current and potential airlines, airport authorities and external agents.
To be successful in this role you will display:
- Demonstrated achievement in leading, motivating and managing employees
- Highly developed people leadership skills including performance management, coaching, mentoring and development
- Positive and analytical approach to problem solving with the capacity to produce results within specified timeframes
- Demonstrated commitment to a continuous improvement philosophy and the provision of a high level of service to stakeholders
- Working knowledge of industrial relations practice and human resources policies and procedures
- Proven track record of achieving KPI targets
- Proven record of successfully managing change and implementing continuous improvement activities
- Demonstrated commitment to managing a safe workplace
- Ability to influence positive outcomes at a senior level
