Our business: Risk Technology provides risk measurement and reporting services to JPMC. We measure market risk, credit risk and other aspects of financial risk, provide stress-testing services for the firms trading portfolios and produce risk reports at numerous organizational levels, which are reviewed by top-level management every day.
Our Team: Our team is responsible for developing Technology solutions that are very critical in enabling the firm to effectively manage the Risk and comply with regulatory requirements. The business domain is fairly complex, challenging, and interesting covering multiple product sets spanning across multiple risk stripes within the firm. The application stack uses wide array of technologies, such as Java/J2EE, Databases, Reporting tools, etc..
Role Description
As a Senior BA you will be responsible for driving and delivering key initiatives for the Data Quality Framework program.
The Data Quality Framework application is a new application being developed in Risk Technology to provide consistent and enhanced visibility into DQ so that DQ can be measured & monitored, and Issues addressed more effectively. The application is a highly critical and visible application.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Business and Technology stake holders in understanding the business drivers, requirements, priorities, and effort to drive the initiatives
- Monitor projects on an ongoing basis, evaluating progress and quality, managing risks / issues, taking corrective action as necessary, coordinating sign-offs and testing, and communicating updates effectively to all stake holders
- Prepare and own project plans, mile stones, measures of success, and business documents to facilitate effective execution of the initiatives
- Conduct meetings with stakeholders during all phases of project execution to ensure that the project execution delivers on the objectives
- Coordinate with Production Support to ensure proper implementation readiness, operations turnover and SLA updates
- Lead post-implementation reviews evaluating project results, including client satisfaction
Qualifications
- 7+ years of business analysis, project management and IT experience required
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical field with preferred focus in Information Systems or Computer Science
- Must be proficient in writing SQL queries to do data analysis and reporting
- Knowledge of financial products such as securities, credit products and derivatives
- Proficient in developing high quality documents and presentations for multiple audiences including project plans, solution alternatives, and project execution approaches
- Experienced in organizing/managing multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
- Thorough familiarity with all phases of SDLC in delivering complex IT solutions
- Proven experience developing partnerships and successfully coordinating across a multitude of stakeholders from business, technical and vendor teams
- Must have excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with colleagues at various levels of the organization
- Ability to facilitate meetings among stakeholders with diverse and sometimes conflicting points of view
- Self motivated team player. Must possess the ability to research and resolve issues independently while working across teams to acquire needed information
- Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Project, Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio etc..
Technical Skills:
- SQL - Expert level
- Excel - Medium level
- Use Case Development
- Designing UI screens
Desired Experience / Skills:
- Experience working with Risk Technology applications in an Investment Banking environment
- Experience in developing Java/J2EE enterprise applications
- Knowledge of messaging technologies, XML and systems integration
- Experience with Credit and Risk Management methodologies and concepts
