Optum is interviewing for a Full-time Nurse Practitioner for the Greater Boston area.
Responsibilities for the Nurse Practitioner include:
-providing direct care and primary care to patients living at home in the community
-Collaborating with primary care and attending physicians and patients' families in providing and coordinating patients’ care
-Participating in care conferences with other professionals and patients’ family members
-Professional interaction with physicians
-Coordination of care for patients with appropriate length of stay containment
Positions in this job function require specific education/certification/licensure and are considered an extension to Physicians and provide direct patient care in a clinic or in-home setting.

Requirements:
-National Nurse Practitioner certification in Adult, Family, Gerontology or Acute Care
-Unrestricted APRN licensure in Massachusetts or the ability to obtain
-DEA certificate or the ability to obtain
-Three years of post-grad hands-on NP clinical experience preferred
-Reliable transportation
Additional Preferred Assets:
-Long-term care experience preferred
-Familiarity with Medicare and ICD-9 coding
