The Senior Director of Finance - SEC Reporting and Assistant Controller is responsible for all aspects of external financial reporting including financial statements, SEC filings, GAAP, debt compliance reporting, technical documentation and researching, managing monthly close, etc, and working closely with Corporate Controller.
Other leadership responsibilities include:
- Establishing operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to associates
- Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affect immediate operations and may also have company-wide effect
What you will do:
- Responsible for all facets of the SEC reporting process including preparation of quarterly 10Q’s and annual 10K, 8Ks, assistance with Proxy filings, comment letters, as well as assisting with review of additional company filings, such as the Earnings Release
- Coordination with executive management, accounting, finance, project management, and legal to draft various sections of the SEC filings and review results with key executives, audit committee, and auditors
- Manage monthly close and assist with month end close package
- Responsible for internal close compliance
- Research and implement new accounting principles
- Assist the controller with Sox Compliance projects
- Coordinate external audit procedures. Work with outside auditors and other departments to ensure deadlines are met
- Ensure that correct policies and procedures are in place. If not, modify and implement policies to ensure effectiveness
- Research and document accounting policies
- Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives
- Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
- Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements
- Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship
- Supervise general ledger team and corporate reporting team
What you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree or 10+ years of relevant work experience
- CPA
- SEC experience

- Master’s Degree
- Experience in high-tech companies
