Position Overview:

The Finance Manager, Consolidations is critical for both internal management reporting and the preparation of our external SEC reporting.  The Consolidations manager must maintain an excellent understanding the business and organization to ensure a constant flow of high-quality, real-time information in a very dynamic business environment.  This position operates in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that relies heavily on the ability of the individual in this position to creatively improve and maintain systems functionality and information integrity. The position will also assist in other significant projects, which vary based on the business transactions and priorities (e.g., acquisitions, divestitures, new types of transactions, training initiatives, benchmarking, etc.).  The position is also focused on developing fellow team members. 

 

Responsibilities Include:  

·         Provide accurate quarter- and year-end information to external auditors and external reporting group while coordinating with the corporate accounting team and business units.

·         Ensure that financial reporting for entities is in accordance with GAAP, Kraft Foods Group policies, procedures and internal controls.

·         Perform data reviews from a consolidated perspective with a specific emphasis on below operating income, balance sheet, and cash flow.

·         Ensure that intercompany data is matched by the respective intercompany partners.

·         Review of eliminating / consolidating entries prepared by Consolidations Analyst.

·         Preparation and review of the consolidated statement of cash flows

·         Review and assist in preparation of balance sheet and cash flow commentary for overall management net change analysis. 

·         Ensure compliance with SOX controls for consolidations area and participate in interdepartmental reviews.

·         Providing guidance and support to corporate and operating company personnel on technical Hyperion Financial Management (“HFM”)/accounting matters.

·         Assist in projects relating to M&A activity, accounting and reporting as they become necessary.

·         Assist in special projects related to reporting issues, budgets and other issues as they arise.

·         Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.

·         Strong technical accounting and research skills are required, including the ability to investigate potential issues as they arise within the reporting applications and determine the root cause.

·         Minimum of six years of experience with at least two years in consolidations.

·         Experience preparing or reviewing the statement of cash flows.

·         Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel for efficient/effective data analysis.

·         Experience with HFM consolidation tool and SAP a plus. 

·         Experience in public accounting a plus.

·         Very strong communication skills, both written and verbal (including public speaking skills).

·         Ability to effectively lead, manage and prioritize multiple projects, while effectively operating in a fast-paced, complex organization with shifting schedules and priorities.

·         Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills.

·         Ability to work efficiently and achieve results, while maintaining high quality.

·         Excellent analytical, teamwork, customer service and leadership skills.
