Client Retention Specialist

This position is responsible for assisting participants with rollovers-in to plan, servicing Income Flex participants, and having holistic consultative conversations with active participants within a call center environment in Prudential Retirement. The Rollover In Specialist executes on sales goals, proactively reaches out to prospects through outbound calls and handles in-bound calls from participants who are looking to discuss income or rollover-in options. They will be working closely with the Client Service team to expedite paperwork processing for in-plan rollovers. They will partner with the Education & Enrollment teams and other lead sources on prospect opportunities. The Rollover-In Specialist must have a strong knowledge of defined contribution plans and individual retirement products/services and investment options and is required to hold FINRA Series 6, 63, and state life and health licenses.
Responsibilities:
- Executes on Rollover-In to plan team targets through timely outreach to participants in pipeline and effective sales closing. Manages both inbound call and outbound call activities and prioritizes based on high value opportunities. Partners with lead sources (Education & Enrollment teams and Client Services) to attract additional prospects into the pipeline.
- Manages prospects' paperwork processing in an efficient manner to expedite processing and reduce rollover cycle times. Proactively reaches out to contra-firms on behalf of the participant to accelerate timing.
- Provide guidance to Prudential in-force and third party Income Flex (IFX) prospects and active participants. Completes error-free handling of IFX lock-ins for these participants.
- Having consultative holistic retirement planning discussions with active participants.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvements and streamlined operational processes between Rollover-In sales team and operational partners.
- Completes all processes within FINRA and regulatory guidelines. Completes all compliance training on time and maintains license requirements as needed for the role.
- FINRA Series 6, 63 and state life and health licenses required or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire.
- 3 years of Financial Services Industry experience required; retail sales experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on individual retirement consulting preferred.
- Demonstrated success exceeding sales targets in an inbound and outbound call center environment
- Excellent understanding of Prudential Retirement defined contribution plans and in-plan investment options; strong understanding of individual retirement products and services
- Solid understanding of the retirement saving behaviors of participants
- Strong sales support process orientation
- Communicates and partners with support areas to create a win-win sales and operational experience
- Strong financial aptitude with a thorough understanding of investment products and services
- Superior oral communication skills
- Some travel (up to 10%) may be required.
