Compliance Manager

The Group Insurance Compliance Department is seeking a candidate to provide regulatory and operational support in connection with Prudential’s designation as a non-bank systemically important financial institution (SIFI) under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.  The Compliance Regulatory Manager position combines the need for strong interpersonal skills, business analytical capabilities, robust organizational skills and the ability to drive results in order to meet deliverables.  This position reports to the Compliance Director, Group Insurance will be based Dresher, PA.

Key responsibilities

·        Creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures, workflows and documentation related to existing and new processes as a result of Federal Reserve supervision.

·        Working as a liaison across the compliance organization and between business and corporate center partners, Risk and Law in order to meet deliverables related to the Fed readiness efforts

·        Documenting as-is and to-be processes

·        Assist in preparation and delivery of ongoing training and communications to socialize process implementation

·        Monitoring project tasks and plans with the project managers for action plans that result from process changes

·        Prepare status reports for Business and Compliance Management

 

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years regulatory or relevant business/operational experience.  Candidates must be prepared to work in a small, collegial but demanding environment.  Strong technical and interpersonal skills are needed, as well as tolerance for shifting responsibilities and priorities.  If you are an individual that likes to build things and wants to get in on the ground floor of a new operation, this is the perfect opportunity to be involved in shaping how Prudential will operate with a new and significant regulatory relationship.   Additionally, this position will give the successful candidate broad exposure to internal clients in corporate functions and the business units.

Prior experience in a control position with a federally-registered firm a plus

·        Ability to grasp and document operational processes

·        Excellent analytical abilities and problem solving skills

·        Prior experience conducting training and speaking to large audiences a plus

·        A conscientious; detail-orientated nature

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·        Ability to collaborate across business units and corporate functions

·        Strong technical skills, including robust knowledge of all MS office applications

·        Project Management Experience a plus

·        A college degree is preferred

 

Travel:  Travel between the Group Insurance operating locations and Corporate headquarters may be required.
