Summary
Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for taking the leadership role in coordinating support maintenance efforts, strategies and programs between all those affected by support maintenance activities. Areas of focus include managing maintenance strategies, the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), spare parts stockrooms, maintenance planning, mechanical support needs, utilities and facilities.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
In addition to the following, employees are responsible for understanding the relevance and importance of the individual’s activities in contributing to food safety, and reporting situations that may impact food.
Know, understand, enforce and comply with Kraft Food’s Environmental Policy.
Reduce Kraft’s Environmental footprint.
QUALITY
Assure compliance to specification.
Reductions in consumer complaints.
All satisfactory on quality audits
Tour ready and inspection ready at all times.
Assure zero holds due to Engineering or Maintenance.
Assure customer needs and requirements are being met.
No repeats on in-house or external inspections
Always address GMP violations or issues.
Zero repeats on GMP audits.
Set overall direction for managing Quality / GMP backlog work orders.
Food Safety Team member.
COST
Maintain ZPG for MRO expenditures.
Maintain ZPG for Labor expenditures.
Assist businesses in managing their MRO expenditures.
Manage stockroom costs and best practices equal to or exceeding best of best company-wide practices.
Reduce utility costs, through improved efficiency and procurement practices.
DELIVERY
Provide coaching to the complex on Equipment Reliability, strategy and implementation.
Act as liaison between the complex and corporate for maintenance and equipment issues.
Develop maintenance-related KPI's.
Identify and implement best of best practices.
Set goals for managing maintenance support's workload.
Insure stockroom meets customers' needs and satisfaction.
Provide technical support to the complex.
Insure stockroom meets customers' need and satisfaction.
Pursue new technologies to improve operations in the complex.
SAFETY
Strive for Zero LTA's
Strive for Zero recordable accidents.
Insure associates are properly trained on safety related issues.
Meet 100% attendance to safety meetings.
Meet 100% compliance to safety audits.
Insure no repeats on safety audits in their areas.
Set directions for managing Safety backlog work orders.
Insure compliance to PSM guidelines.
Manage property conservation systems (alarms, security, sprinklers, fire brigade, etc.)
Comply with all federal, state, local and company regulatory guidelines.
MORALE
Be present on a regular basis in their areas, with their customers and associates.
Show support (publicly and privately) for all department initiatives, co-leaders and associates.
Insure associates have the proper tools (equipment, training, support, etc.) to support their areas.
Co-develop vision, strategies, objectives and development plans for the maintenance support groups.
Develop goals and expectations for self and reports, linked to formal review processes.
Provide superb service to all customers, both internal and external.
DEVELOPMENT
Submit formal development plans for self. Report progress at scheduled MAP reviews.
Complete DPS writing for all tasks.
Communicate clear, concise and comprehensive expectations to all associates.
Complete assignments on time.
Continuously develop your knowledge, skills and experience as a manager.
Share ownership in your department.

Organizational Relationships:
Directly report to the Plant Manager.
Work with and support all manufacturing and complex managers, plant staff, business unit managers, co-leaders, and associates.
Work with corporate groups; Engineering, Plant Engineering Services, Regional Engineering, Category Engineering, Finance, KSRMP, Human Resources, other facilities.
Work with Project Teams as assigned by Manager.
