Description
Located in Calgary, Alberta and reporting to the Team Lead, the Production Services Department within Western Canada Gas Production Operations has an immediate opening for a Field Data Capture (FDC) Specialist.
The position is a Business Support role responsible for ensuring that Field Data related to Production Volumetrics is captured and reported appropriately.
The position is a Business Support role, working directly with Production Operations, to ensure the master data configuration in the Field Data Capture system meets the daily requirements to capture and report volumetric data.
Responsibilities
- Central Support role for Field Data Capture (Energy Components) with a strong understanding of allocations, measurement, field data flows and processes.
- Works with field operations, field measurement coordinators and engineering to ensure all infrastructure changes are correctly set up in the Field Data Capture System.
- Responsible for ensuring allocation networks in Field Data Capture system (EC) are calculating in accordance with industry and regulatory requirements.
- Familiar with contracting, shipper and nominations required for daily contract allocations
- Maintains Western Canada Group (WCG) standards and consistencies within FDC system.
- Work closely with measurement team to ensure EPAP compliance
- Business testing new system patches/releases through databases
- Ability to present basic technical information and process data in a concise and understandable manner.
- Strong customer service skills.

Basic/Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of industry experience
- Excellent Communication Skills both written and verbal, effective team player
- Practical working knowledge of measurement and operations practices and the common tools
- Ability to
organize and prioritize your work logically in a deadline driven environment.
- Demonstrates the ability to resolve team issues and problems.
- Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to pursue issues and resolve them independently, while working and having fun within a team.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada on a regular full-time basis without restrictions.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Field Data Capture systems, allocation processes would be an asset
- Superior interpersonal skills written and verbal
- Strong team building skills
- Oil and gas industry experience in Field data capture
