Australia Pacific Liquefied Natural Gas (APLNG) is a Joint Venture of ConocoPhillips, Origin Energy, and Sinopec and is a Coal Seam Gas to LNG project.   ConocoPhillips Australia is the operator of the Downstream LNG facilities located on Curtis Island, Gladstone on behalf of APLNG.
 
Reporting to the Site Maintenance Superintendent, you will be a core member of the Maintenance & Reliability team on Curtis Island, Gladstone.  During the project phase, you will support implementation of plant integrity activities included in the Operations Readiness Plan and A&OI strategies.  Once operational, you will be accountable for providing key functional maintenance and technical support to the Operations Team with particular focus on M&R Systems execution and the safe delivery of A&OI work scopes.
 
The Plant Integrity Specialist will be the A&OI focal point on-site, under the technical governance of the ConocoPhillips A&OI Engineering team based in Brisbane.

Key Role and Responsibilities:
  • Oversight and trouble shooting of day-to-day maintenance and Inspection activities.
  • Site supervision and coordination of Inspection contractors supporting safe and efficient delivery of A&OI Inspection programs through the integrated planning process.
  • A&OI technical support and governance.
  • Collaboration with Operations Superintendents, Maintenance Superintendent and Lead A&OI Engineer to ensure consistency across all maintenance activities and integrity management programs and external stakeholders to support and team culture and collaboration
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:
  • Mechanical or Structural trade qualification, or degree qualifications.
  • Proven experience in asset lifecycle maintenance and equipment in an operations environment on large, fixed mechanical plant, tanks, piping and hydraulic systems, preferably as a Plant Inspector or Inspection Engineer.
  • AICIP certification or equivalent highly regarded.
  • Proven experience in contractor Supervision and Coordination.
  • Direct experience with A&OI systems, pressure equipment inspections, baseline surveys and Risk Based Inspection; in addition to supervision of campaign work encompassing CUI, NDT, cathodic protection, jetty inspections and corrosion monitoring surveys.
  • Experience on equipment shutdowns, turnarounds and Rate Reduction programs including planning, resourcing and material requirements.
  • Excellent collaborative interpersonal skills and style coupled with effective communication, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with SAP CMMS and Integrity software systems will be highly regarded.
