Product Manager LED

In this position you are part of the product management team of Barco LiveDots.

Enabled through our experience in processing, quality control, professional services and mechanical precision, an open mind for ‘shopping’ on the market is needed to create a compelling, yet competitive offering.

Understanding the customer needs, analyzing the competitive landscape and turning this into a product strategy, definition and go-to-market is what this role is all about.

The position content is defined with the focus on LED tiles and systems:

1. Define a single tier product strategy and roadmap

2. Define product specifications

3. Commit (to customer) for non-standard product features

4. Assess and implement product life cycle initiatives

5. Prepare – together with Operations – operational process flow for (standard) products

6. Escalation level for technical and product related T&C’s/SOW (within CPI)

7. Analyse and report product/technology trends

8. Be an expert with respect to competition

9. Assist in price setting to meet revenue and profitability goals (lead)

10. Develop sales tools and collateral (product)

11. Determine competitive product strategies

12. Collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, manufacturing and operations to develop and provide product definitions customer needs and market opportunities (mostly ‘inward’ looking)

• Master’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education in fields of business, marketing, engineering or related field.  MBA preferred.

• 8 – 10 years of experience. In depth experience in product management or equivalent experience set acquired in engineering context.

• Must have a strong technical skill set in similar industry or technology.

• Good communication skills, problem solving skills

• Due to the international scope of the business frequent travel is required (50%)

• Attendance to the major fairs and road shows is mandatory.
