The role of the Production Planning & Control Manager is to develop and deploy locally a capable resource into the manufacturing plant ensuring compliance to and maintenance of material planning and control business processes, that enable robust high quality plans to be generated and reviewed in line with customer demand.
 
You will be the local resource owner of functional professionals deployed within the plant, to ensure development of competencies and core skills through education and shared learning
 
Have the ability to identify supply chain risks, ensuring that mitigation action plans are in place for all hazards that have a potential to affect the customer whilst ensuring that appropriate safety time and stocks are maintained in line with business processes to ensure achievement of optimum business performance levels, including the application of effective inventory control and audit.
 
You will need to drive process compliance within the plant by effective management of lead indicators (e.g. NAP / Load & capacity balance) to ensure robust short - medium - long term plant/cell plans achieve customer requirements, including visualisation for the shop floor and ensuring that all new products, changes of source, are controlled in line with the appropriate function to achieve customer requirements.
 
Ability to ensure compliance to physical logistics solution provided by the central function in partnership with 3rd Party Logistics providers (i.e. Packaging/Transport etc)
You will have working experience in Engineering, Manufacturing or a Logistics discipline and a working knowledge of managing plant level programmes/projects in high and low volume business units whilst leading a business improvement team.
 
You must have knowledge of ERP management principles, awareness of lean manufacturing techniques and an appreciation of physical logistics.
 
Excellent communication and people management are essential as is willingness to participate in organisational change.
