Position Title: IT Manager, E1 Systems
Position Location: Fort Smith, AR
Position Summary:
The IT Manager, E1 Systems position reports to the IT Solutions Sr. Director, ERP and is responsible for providing systems support to all manufacturing areas in the Company, including support to senior management. This position will also support other plant / distribution facility related operational areas such as material handling.
Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- Ensures on time implementation of projects and user requests within budget and meeting agreed to user requirements. Ensures that all documentation is up to date.
- Work with users and management to develop/support/improve blend manufacturing management processes and implement systems to improve users productivity at all facilities.
- Work with users to develop/support/improve other plant / distribution related processes and implement systems to improve users productivity at all facilities.
- Performs manufacturing and related areas Help Desk duties.
- Develops and validates system implementation plans and requirements.
- Controls use of manufacturing resources and provides project status reporting.
Nature & Scope:
- This position interacts with senior levels of management and is a highly visible position.
- This position has access to company sensitive information that needs to be appropriately handled.
- The responsibilities of this position facilitate decisions that can have significant impact on productivity, efficiency and ultimately competitiveness of the organization.
Requirements:
Education: Degree in Management Information Systems or related field with emphasis in Manufacturing. MBA preferred.
Other Competencies: Broad business and operational background spanning cross-functional areas in a manufacturing / distribution environment. Exposure to blend management concepts is a plus.
Experience / Background: 8-10 years of sound knowledge and experience implementing manufacturing and related functional area value-added strategies, processes and systems.
Skills Necessary For Superior Performance:
Functional Skills:
- Project leader experience supporting JDEdwards EnterpriseOne software version 8.12 or similar.
- Extensive knowledge of the entire Manufacturing suite within E1. Experience supporting high volume manufacturing a plus.
- Experience with material handling E1 functionality including purchasing, receiving, warehousing, picking and shipping.
- Knowledge and experience with Advanced Warehouse Management will be a plus.
- Experience with project implementations including multi-company projects working with Business Consultants.
- Experience developing functional modifications to customize E1 manufacturing modules.
- Project management and system development life cycle experience is required.
Inter-Personal Skills:
- Professional maturity and good communication skills.
- Excellent inter-personal and facilitation skills to relate to users, peers and upper management.
- Significant experience dealing directly with all management levels.
- Be a team player.
- Willing and capable of taking on additional or expanded responsibilities.
- Consistently delivering high quality services and solutions.
