Job Description
 
The Director, Sales Strategy position is intended to lead in the creation, development and implementation of short-term and long-term programs and initiatives across a broad spectrum of go-to-market platforms and categories.  Short-term programs and initiatives may include Industry Benchmarking, specific customer strategies, CMG Strategy, Retailer Brand strategy and New Item Speed-To-Shelf.  Long-term initiatives and Organizational Effectiveness.  The Director reports to the Customer VP of the Publix team. 
 
In addition to developing short-term and long-term go-to-market program initiatives, Director leads short-term plans to maximize customer investment ROI and deliver on KNA strategic growth initiatives. The Director interacts primarily with Customer Vice Presidents Sales Planning, Sales Finance, Marketing and Sales Systems, and Area Vice Presidents and Broker Managers in Field Sales.  The Director also prepares and presents Sales strategy initiative updates to the KNA Management Committee and the SLT.  The Director should have broad Field Sales, Sales Management and HQ Sales Planning experience, excellent written and verbal communication and team leadership skills, and a strong track record of demonstrated leadership and proven results.
 
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
 
Organizational Relationships:
The Director reports to the Customer VP of Publix.  Internally, the Director interacts primarily with Customer Vice President Sales Planning, Area Vice Presidents, Broker Managers, Directors of Sales Finance and Trade Systems, and Senior Category Business Directors. The Director also interacts with Customer Business Leads to gain Field Sales input.  Additionally, leads teams across the following cross-functional areas of responsibility:  Finance, CIS, Sales Information, Systems, Operations, Marketing and Sales.
